As I pack away my memories from working in rural Missouri for the last 1 ½ months, tears of love and happiness fall down my face. Tears of joy, sadness, and pride fill this large lump in my throat.
I no longer have to prove who I am. I no longer have to explain why I [...]

Welcomed Home: Part 2
by Nicole Hallengrogg
Inside, I shut the door and run my hand over an antique desk where She used to sit and do her make-up. The tainted mirror reflects my image and behind me, I can almost see her standing, searching in the closet for one [...]

SPORTS: United through Disaster
by Joel Ebert
The world of sports has found itself between a rock and a hard place. With the landfall of Hurricane Ike, expected to be this weekend, numerous high school, college, and professional sports teams have been forced to postpone, cancel or relocate their games.
At least five college football games have been [...]

Unfortunately it’s true. Some white pride kids are trying to infiltrate the hip-hop community. What’s scary is that I bet some Ron Paul fans from the suburbs – a predominately white middle class group of kids growing like wild flowers – would rally behind white power hip-hop music. What’s even more scary is that [...]

A friend of mine wrote an article about how she’s tired of anti-Walmart folks hassling her because she has to shop at Wal-Mart. Her article perfectly reflects my frustrations with some middle class so-called “progressives” hackling people who don’t have the money to buy organic or shop at some health food store.

Here’s an interesting article, this guy breaks down the difference between different types of sports fans. And then he talks about what it means to be infatuated with only winning and not loving the sport unconditionally.
Check it out.

I moved to Chicago about four years ago, and I have to say, it’s one of my favorites. And this comes from a girl who has lived in a bunch of different cities.
Unfortunately, I haven’t made it to a Cubs game, but I really want to go, even though I’m not the biggest cubs fans. [...]

Any working moms out there? A friend of mine just wrote something about her frustrations with her daycare facility, and I really liked it so I thought I’d share it.
Hope you enjoy! The article was originally posted on imagine2050.net.
